The Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow, located at al. Jana Pawła II 39, announces recruitment for the position of Investment Specialist within the Multi-person Position for Infrastructure Development.

Applicants for this position should meet the following requirements:

1. Essential Requirements

  • good knowledge of regulations and issues related to planning (including scope of work and finance, programming, action plan), preparation and implementation of investment projects financed from the investor’s own funds and from external sources;
  • minimum 3 years of experience in preparing and implementing investment projects co-financed from national funds and projects with co-financing from European Funds;
  • experience from real and measurable cooperation with participants of the investment process, including the design unit, substitute investor, general contractor, public administration bodies;
  • ability to prepare, coordinate, and monitor work-financial plans and schedules;
  • ability to prepare periodic reports, information, and reports on the investment; – knowledge and ability to apply the Public Procurement Law in the area of planning and implementing procurements, e.g. for cultural institutions, in particular regarding estimating the value of orders, preparing Terms of Reference and Procurement Specifications, publishing documents, participation in tender committees, concluding contracts;
  • good knowledge of MS Office suite;
  • knowledge of formal and legal processes related to investment implementation in historic buildings and areas;

2. Scope of Tasks for the Position

  • planning, organising, and implementing investment activities, including in the area of public procurement;
  • coordinating matters related to acquiring external sources of investment financing, including from European Funds;
  • systematic cooperation with participants of the investment process, including the design unit, substitute investor, general contractor, public administration bodies, including the local government of the Malopolska Voivodeship and the Municipality of Krakow;
  • cooperation with the Administration Department regarding public procurement in matters related to the Museum’s investment and renovation activities;
  • cooperation with the Finance Department, particularly regarding payments and settlements of investment projects;
  • determining renovation needs of buildings and structures owned by the Museum with the Administration Department and planning activities;
  • preparing documents related to the Museum’s investment activities, including planning documents, including within the procedures of the Multi-year Financial Forecast, amendments to the Malopolska Voivodeship budget, work-financial schedules, investment orders and contracts, official correspondence, co-financing applications, applications in investment procedures;
  • monitoring the preparation and implementation of investment tasks at the Museum, participation in acceptance of works, services, and deliveries; including in cooperation with entities acting as substitute investors;
  • preparing partial work-financial plans, periodic activity reports, reports, explanations, and responses for audit bodies according to the occupied position;
  • improving own qualifications;
  • performing other tasks assigned by the Deputy Director for Administration and Infrastructure or the Museum Director.

3. Working Conditions

  • Ability to properly operate and perform routine maintenance of equipment used for green area maintenance such as: petrol and electric leaf blowers, self-propelled petrol mowers, petrol and electric brush cutters, chainsaws, etc.

3. Scope of Tasks for the Position:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and order on the Museum premises, including mowing and care of lawns and shrubs, removing waste from bins and green areas, year-round maintenance of roads and pathways. Tasks are performed as needed using electric or petrol-powered machinery and equipment.
  • Maintenance of outdoor equipment on the Museum premises, such as repairing and painting benches, waste bins or fencing.
  • Ad hoc maintenance work in the Museum buildings, such as: painting rooms, moving furniture, assistance in preparing rooms for events organised at the Museum.
  • Preparing machinery and equipment for work, cleaning after work completion, and routine maintenance of machinery and equipment.

4. Working Conditions

  • Type of contract: employment contract – first contract for a fixed term of 3 months.
  • Working time: full-time (1 FTE), full-time employment, Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in the summer season from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

3. Scope of Tasks for the Position

  • Prowadzenie i kompleksowa operation of sekretariatu, primarily:
