From 15 September to 15 October, proposals are being accepted for the 9th edition of the Civic Budget of the Małopolska Region. All you need is an idea and 30 signatures on a support list! Take matters into your own hands!
Previous editions have proved how much can be achieved thanks to the involvement of residents, both at the stage of submitting proposals and voting. The Civic Budget is a wonderful initiative — over 450 completed projects, whose need was identified and submitted by the residents themselves! That is what makes it special! In this project, residents truly have the power to make things happen!
— says Marta Malec-Lech from the regional board.
Learning to play bridge, rowing, tennis, zumba, open-air cinema, tourist excursions, repairing cycling paths, purchasing musical instruments and costumes for regional ensembles, purchasing a book dispensing machine, AED equipment, repairing pavements along regional roads, social campaigns for safety and much more. These are just a few examples of projects that were implemented from the regional budget, and it was the votes of the interested parties themselves — the region’s residents — that decided their success.
A proposal to the Civic Budget of the Małopolska Region can be submitted by any resident of Małopolska who is at least 16 years of age.
Send it, print it out and deliver it along with the support list to the office!
Important: each proposal must be supported by a minimum of 30 residents.
Within the Civic Budget of the Małopolska Region, you can submit a project of an educational, cultural, tourist, sporting, pro-social, health-promoting, ecological nature, or in the field of environmental protection, public transport or public roads.
The submitted project may have a regional or voivodeship-wide scope of implementation.
The submitted project can be any civic initiative concerning activities serving the residents of the voivodeship and falling within the scope of voivodeship-level tasks. It is worth visiting the bo.malopolska.pl website, where the voting results section contains descriptions of projects from previous editions of the Civic Budget.
You will find many wonderful ideas there! Perhaps you can see a similar need in your area?
The Civic Budget of the Małopolska Region is an important tool of social participation, which allows residents to decide on investments and undertakings important for their daily lives. I hope that the people of Małopolska will not let us down this time either, and that their ideas will be numerous and diverse!
— adds Marshal Łukasz Smółka.
