About the Museum — 60 Years of Activity

Over the course of 60 years, our Museum has assembled a unique collection of aircraft, including many designs that are the product of Polish technical thought. This collection has been recognised numerous times both domestically and internationally. Among our exhibits are exceptional aircraft, including:

  • the PZL P.11c fighter that defended Polish skies in September 1939;
  • the PWS-26, RWD-13 and RWD-21 — the only surviving examples in the world of pre-war Polish designs;
  • the legendary Supermarine Spitfire in the colours of the 308th “Kraków” Fighter Squadron from Great Britain

We hold the largest collection of aircraft engines in Europe, as well as tens of thousands of memorabilia related to aviators and the history of aviation — book collections, photographs, unique phaleristic collections and archival materials.
