We are pleased to announce that the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków has become a partner of a special aviation event — the 62nd Franciszek Żwirko South-Western Poland Flight, which this year is combined with the 68th Polish Senior Aeroplane Navigation Championships and the 53rd Polish Junior Precision Flying Championships.

The competition will take place on 15–17 May 2025 at the Kraków Aeroclub airfield in Pobiednik Wielki. Immediately before the start of the competition — on 14 May — National Team Consultations in Precision Flying will be held, open to all pilots.

The South-Western Poland Flight is the oldest cyclical aeroplane sport event in the world, with its origins dating back to 1929. Its patron is Franciszek Żwirko — a legendary Polish pilot, winner of the international Challenge competition in 1932 and two-time champion of this very event in Kraków.

The partnership of the Polish Aviation Museum in this event is an expression of our commitment to promoting aviation sport, education and popularising the rich history of Polish aviation. Together with the Kraków Aeroclub, we wish to promote the memory of the pioneers of Polish aviation and support future generations of pilots.

We keep our fingers crossed for all competitors and warmly invite both participants and supporters to follow the competition in Pobiednik Wielki.

More information about the competition and schedule is available at: aeroklubkrakowski.pl and on the Kraków Aeroclub’s social media.
