An important highlight of the day was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Polish Aviation Museum and the Home Army Museum and the Military Unit. The document was signed by Tomasz Kosecki — Director of the Polish Aviation Museum, Jarosław Szarek — Director of the Home Army Museum, and the Commander of the NIL Military Unit, Col. Piotr Gomuła.

The aim of the established cooperation is to promote voluntary service for national defence, cultivate and spread the traditions and historical legacy of the Polish Armed Forces and the Unit, as well as protect the honour, dignity and glory of the Polish soldier and sites of national remembrance.

The agreement provides for, among other things:

  • cooperation in promoting knowledge related to the history of Polish aviation and the achievements of aeronautical engineering,
  • inviting representatives of the Unit to conferences, seminars and commemorative exhibitions organised by the Museum,
  • co-organising ceremonies commemorating important anniversaries and events relating to the Special Forces,
  • mutual substantive and organisational support
