The Polish Aviation Museum announces with deep sorrow that on 25 March, after a long and difficult battle with illness, a Friend of our institution, aviation historian and publisher — Dr Bartłomiej Belcarz — has passed away.
Through his dedication and willingness to help, he earned the affection and respect of many. He was an outstanding expert on the history of Polish Wings over France during the Second World War, supported us with his knowledge in this field, and it was thanks to him that we were able to reconstruct the airframe of the Caudron CR.714 Cyclone aircraft.
Bartek has not entirely departed — a part of him lives on in the books and studies about the aviation he loved.
The Management and staff of the Polish Aviation Museum extend their sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones.
