Draft Budget of the Małopolska Voivodeship for 2026

On 17 November 2025, the 24th Session of the Małopolska Regional Assembly took place, devoted to the draft budget for 2026. These funds will be allocated to key areas such as transport, culture, healthcare, social policy, security and environmental protection.

During the last Session of the Małopolska Regional Assembly, Łukasz Smółka — Marshal of the Małopolska Region — presented the draft budget for 2026. The planned budget of the Małopolska Region for 2026 exceeds PLN 4 billion! This is a powerful pro-investment stimulus for our region!

– The main objective of this budget proposal is for Małopolska to be a region of sustainable development in social, economic, environmental and territorial terms. It will ensure the stable functioning of the voivodeship while providing space for development and investment. We want this to be a budget serving all residents of Małopolska: both large cities and smaller towns, both entrepreneurs and public institutions. We are investing in infrastructure, family, health, environmental protection and culture. — said the Marshal of the Małopolska Region, Łukasz Smółka

The planned priorities are:

Transport and communications — over PLN 1.8 billion for railways, roads, ring roads and better connections for residents.
Culture and heritage — support for the Kraków Philharmonic, modernisation of the Słowacki Theatre and many other projects.
Health and safety — investments in hospitals, support for emergency services and health programmes for residents.
Environment and climate — nature projects, water retention and clean air initiatives.
Social policy and family — support for social programmes and local initiatives.

This is a budget planned for residents — for investment, development and the safety of the entire Małopolska Region!

The 2026 budget fully implements the assumptions of the Regional Development Strategy “Małopolska 2030” and the Małopolska Investment Plan. It is another step in building a modern, resident-friendly and development-oriented Małopolska.
