On 18 April, at the Main Building of the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków, visitors will be able to see not only aviation exhibits but also stars of the violin music. We invite to a concert „Stars with Sinfonietta – Błaszczyk, Niedziółka”, organised by The Orchestra of the Capital Royal City of Krakow Sinfonietta Cracovia.
In music, just as in aviation, the master-student relationship is the basis for success. It is the passing on of knowledge, technique and that elusive sensitivity that allows one to take flight. On 18 April at 6.00 pm, we will witness such an intergenerational dialogue. That evening, Sinfonietta Cracovia will be conducted by the outstanding violinist and teacher Łukasz Błaszczyk, with one of the most promising representatives of the younger generation of Polish violinists, Wojciech Niedziółka, appearing as soloist.
The concert programme will feature works by composers from various eras: W.A. Mozart’s Adagio and Fugue in C minor, K. 546, J. Sibelius’s Impromptu, Op. 5, Andrzej Panufnik’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, and Grażyna Bacewicz’s Divertimento for String Orchestra. These are works that have become a permanent fixture in the Kraków orchestra’s repertoire. The programme will be rounded off by W. Lemański’s dynamic composition Fab Four, brimming with virtuosity and brilliant sound effects.
