In June 1983, Pope John Paul II made his second pilgrimage to Poland. On that occasion, the Mi-8 helicopter now standing in the Aviation Museum was used for the first time.
To mark this anniversary, starting tomorrow a special outdoor exhibition on loan from the Museum of the Family Home of the Holy Father John Paul II in Wadowice will appear next to the papal helicopter.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from 6 June to 13 July this year.
