Opening of the Exhibition “Prauss and His Designs”

On a beautiful sunny Sunday, 12 May, we turned our attention to the figure of an outstanding Polish aircraft designer at the opening of the exhibition “Stanisław Prauss and His Designs“.

The figure of the brilliant engineer was presented by:

• the meeting’s host, Mr Jarosław Dobrzyński — curator at the Polish Aviation Museum,
• Mr Włodzimierz Pietkiewicz — a member of Stanisław Prauss’s family and donor of the presented collection,
• Mr Marek Rogusz — author and aviation populariser, involved in the transfer of the collection to our institution.

Mr Jan Hoffmann, as part of the “Meeting by the Aircraft” series, presented the designer’s most famous creation — the PZL.23 Karaś light bomber, unfortunately only using a large-scale model.

We extend special thanks to our speakers and the Kraków Aviation Seniors’ Club, led by President Leszek Mańkowski, as well as to all aviation enthusiasts who attended the opening!

The exhibition Stanisław Prauss and His Designs will be on display until 21 July this year in the Main Hangar of the Polish Aviation Museum. Welcome!
