We are pleased to announce that our participants from the model-building workshops at the Museum’s Model Workshop achieved great success at the F1N indoor glider model competition — the MTSR Sowiniec Championships!

19 competitors took part in two age categories: younger (children born before 2014) and older (the rest). The competition was fierce, but our young modellers demonstrated their skills — we won first and second places in both categories!

The competition was held according to international FAI rules for the F1N class — each participant performed 9 flights, of which the 3 best counted. Their combined flight time determined the final result.

Congratulations to all participants, and we invite you to our MODEL WORKSHOP, where the passion for aviation grows with every model built!

The MODEL WORKSHOP of the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków is a place where weekly WORKSHOP CLASSES in building flying models (balloons, gliders, aircraft… — including radio-controlled ones!) are held.

They are led by Michał Filas — one of the most outstanding Polish aviation modellers! A member of the national team in aviation modelling.

We invite children and young people over 10 years of age to our weekly meetings.

More details can be found on the MODEL WORKSHOP page.
