Between 1952 and 1953 he worked as a military representative, and then for the next three decades (1953–1983) he served as director of the 86th Military Representation at the Institute of Aviation.

As an active member of the Polish delegation to the International Commission for Supervision and Control in Vietnam in the 1970s, he earned respect and gained valuable experience. His distinguished military career culminated in the rank of Colonel.

Beyond his military service, Tadeusz Królikiewicz held honourable positions as chairman of the Programme Council of the monthly magazine “Technika Lotnicza i Astronautyczna” (Aviation and Space Technology), and as a valued member of the Council of the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków. In 2016, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation, he proudly received a special statuette from the Institute’s Scientific Council for many years of collaboration.

His legacy includes not only numerous memories but also valuable aviation memorabilia. He shared his knowledge through book publications, including “Selected Issues from the History of the Institute of Aviation” and the two-volume “Polish Aircraft and Colours”, as well as through numerous articles.

Tadeusz Królikiewicz was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, and in 2020 he was also honoured with the Blue Wings award, marking yet another distinction in his impressive career.

The funeral of the deceased will take place on Tuesday, 9 January, at 11:00 a.m. at the Field Cathedral of the Polish Army in Warsaw.
May he rest in peace.
