An engine designed at the Argus Motoren Gesellschaft company in 1932. It was a very successful design. Serial production began in 1934. By 1939, approximately 10,000 units had been produced. The As-10 was used in the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch, Arado Ar 66, Focke-Wulf Fw 58 Weihe, and Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun aircraft.
