A modification of the Benz Bz IV engine from 1915, produced in 6400 units. The engine is equipped with aluminium pistons. It was used in the AEG J.I, J.II, N.I, AGO C.IV, Albatros C.VII, C.XV, G.III, J.I, DFW C.V, Halberstadt C.V, Friedrichshafen G.II, FF 49, FF 59, and LVG C.V aircraft.
