A 9-cylinder air-cooled radial piston engine. It was developed at Bayerische Motoren Werke in Munich as an improvement of the American licence for the Pratt & Whitney Hornet engine. Its technical documentation was prepared in the metric system. It features a single-speed centrifugal supercharger and an anti-interference system. BMW-132 engines were used in, among others, the Ju 52/3m, Henschel Hs 126, Henschel Hs 123, and Focke Wulf Fw 200 aircraft.
