The powerplant of Soviet medium-range passenger and transport aircraft.
A turboprop engine designed in the 1950s by Aleksandr Ivchenko’s team, produced from 1961. It was used to power the An-24 passenger aircraft and An-26 transport aircraft.
The TW version, designed for the An-26, features increased power compared to the base version, achieved by increasing the pressure ratio and flow rate.
