Lt. Jozef Feliks Mierzejewski (1916-1985), a pilot of the 308 “Krakow” Fighter Squadron. He was awarded the Cross of Valour three times and the Air Medal once. He wrote poems for children, published in the volume “A Tale of a Spitfire”. After the end of hostilities, he remained in exile. He died on 24 February 1985 in London.
