Samolot myśliwski WSK Lim-6MR

Between 1959 and 1960, 129 examples of the interceptor version MiG-17PF, equipped with the RP-1 radar gunsight, were produced under licence at the WSK Mielec plant under the designation Lim-5P.

By the late 1960s, the Lim-5P aircraft had lost their combat value as interceptor fighters. In 1971, some of them were converted into ground-attack aircraft. Additional weapons pylons were installed, the radar gunsight was removed, and a battery was installed in its place.

The aircraft modified in this way received the designation Lim-6M, and the reconnaissance version Lim-6MR.
