SONUS COLORUM: harp and accordion – unique sounds beneath the wings of aeroplanes

DURATION:13 / 09 / 2026 - 13 / 09 / 2026
Koncert Chór Lusławice

On September 13, 2026, the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków hosted an extraordinary concert titled “SONUS COLORUM: Harp and Accordion.” On that Sunday evening, the industrial space of the museum’s Main Building filled with the sounds of a choir, a harp, an accordion, and the human voice.

The Polish Aviation Museum is not only a place to explore the history of aviation—it is also a venue that has been hosting world-class cultural events for years. On September 13, 2026 (Sunday, 6:00 p.m.), our industrial interiors were filled with unique sounds during the concert “SONUS COLORUM: Harp and Accordion.”

The event featured a performance by the Polish Radio Choir – Lusławice, accompanied by renowned soloists: harpist Aneta Salwińska, accordionist Konrad Salwiński, and tenor Piotr Windak. Dawid Ber and Antoni Filarowski, a prize winner at the 20th National Choral Conductors’ Competition in Poznań, took the podium.

The concert program showcased the diverse possibilities of the voice and instruments, combining music of a prayerful and contemplative nature with theatrical elements and contemporary explorations of sound. The audience heard works from the 20th- and 21st-century choral repertoire, including Paweł Łukaszewski’s “ICHTHYS” and “Prayer to the Guardian Angel,” Richard Harvey’s “Night Song for Harp and Choir,” and Arvo Pärt’s “Salve Regina.”

A special highlight of the event was the unique pairing of the choir with the harp and accordion—a combination rarely seen in concert repertoire, which showcased the wide range of timbres and possibilities of contemporary choral music.
