On Friday, 25 September 2026, another ‘Night at the Institute of Aviation’ took place – a unique event that attracts enthusiasts of aviation, science and technology every year. As in previous years, the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków once again had the honour of playing an active part in this year’s edition.

On 25 September 2026, from 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm, the Łukasiewicz Institute of Aviation hosted the 15th edition of ‘Night at the Institute of Aviation’ – Poland’s largest night-time educational event, aimed at raising awareness of the aviation and space sectors and engineering professions. As in previous years, the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków was once again in attendance.

At the Museum’s promotional and educational stand, visitors were treated to a host of attractions, such as:

  • an exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of Bolesław Orliński and Leonard Kubiak’s flight from Warsaw to Tokyo and back,
  • workshops on building model aeroplanes,
  • aviation quizzes,
  • a mobile museum shop selling aviation souvenirs.

The highlight of the event organised by the Museum was the display of one of its flying exhibits – the Yak-18 aircraft. It was a unique opportunity to see this historic aircraft up close and even hear the roar of its engines.

Our participation formed part of the event’s wider, exceptionally rich programme, which brought together hundreds of enthusiasts of science, technology and aviation. The organisers arranged for numerous exhibition stands, laboratory tours, flying machine demonstrations and meetings with experts.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who visited our stand, asked questions and showed an interest in aviation. We hope that this event has encouraged many of you to visit the Polish Aviation Museum and discover the full exhibition at our premises.
