On 30 April 2010, the construction of the new building of the Polish Aviation Museum was completed. The opening for visitors was scheduled for 19 September 2010.
The new building will feature, among others:
- A new exhibition of previously undisplayed collections
- Space for aircraft display
- The first educational cinema in Małopolska showing films on aviation and historical topics
- A multi-purpose hall with capacity for 150 people (lectures, small temporary exhibitions)
- A library with a reading room and archive
- Free computer stations and a wireless Internet zone
- A modern visitor service desk
- Café
