In a survey conducted by the architectural internet portal www.sztuka-architektury.pl, the commencement of construction of the new building of the Polish Aviation Museum was recognised as the most important architectural event in Poland in the field of culture and science in 2008. Architecture critics and internet users participated in the two-month-long vote.
