Airship Across the Atlantic
The British airship R-34 arrived at Mineola near New York, completing the first airship crossing of the Atlantic and the first westbound transatlantic flight. The flight began in East Fortune near Edinburgh and lasted 108 hours. The airship returned to Scotland on 13 July, becoming the first aircraft to cross the Atlantic in both directions.
