Coandă’s Jet Aircraft
At Issy-les-Moulineaux in France, the world’s first jet-powered aircraft – the Coandă 1910 – made its first and only flight. During the flight, which ended in a crash, its designer and pilot, Romanian Henri Coandă, first observed the aerodynamic effect later named the Coandă effect.
