First Glider in Nowy Sącz
The Railway Military Training organisation in Nowy Sącz began construction of its own glider. The CWJ type designed by engineers Czerwiński and Jaworski was chosen. This glider type, with minor modifications, was generally adopted for training abroad and in Poland. The CWJ is a single-seat, exclusively unpowered monoplane, characterised by ease of piloting and simple, sturdy construction, which protects the glider from damage during improper student landings and allows easy access and repair.
