Hijacking of a LOT Tu-134
Passengers from East Germany terrorised the crew of a LOT Polish Airlines aircraft. According to some sources they used a starting pistol, according to others it was a toy. The hijacked Tu-134, flying from Gdańsk to Schönefeld, landed at West Berlin’s Tempelhof airport. One Tu-134 in LOT livery is an exhibit at the Polish Aviation Museum.
