Maiden Flight of the Bocian
On this day, the wooden glider SZD-9 Bocian made its maiden flight. At the time of its creation, it was a two-seat glider with competition-level performance; it is now used for basic training. A Bocian in the early 1A version is an exhibit at the Polish Aviation Museum.
