Crash of the PWS-19
On this day in Warsaw, during a test flight, the prototype reconnaissance-bomber PWS-19 crashed. Test pilot Kazimierz Kazimierczuk saved himself by parachute; the other crew member was killed. Work on the aircraft was not continued after the accident.
