Maiden Flight of the Nietoperz
Maiden flight of the Nietoperz – on this day, the SZD-6 Nietoperz glider made its maiden flight. The glider has an unconventional design and was used to test various control methods for tailless aircraft in flight. Only one Nietoperz was built, and it is now an exhibit at the Polish Aviation Museum.
