Maiden Flight of the Pirat
The single-seat training and competition glider SZD-30 Pirat made its maiden flight. It was the first Polish glider with a T-tail. Despite being considered difficult to fly, it proved very popular – 813 examples were built. One Pirat (the second prototype) is an exhibit at the Polish Aviation Museum.
