Maiden Flight of the Wicher
On this day, the PZL.44 Wicher passenger aircraft made its maiden flight. This all-metal, twin-engine aircraft with retractable landing gear carried 14 passengers and 4 crew members. Only one Wicher was built; serial production could not be launched before the outbreak of war.
