Rally of the “Silver Bird”
Stanisław Karpiński and Witold Rogalski, at the controls of the “Silver Bird” aircraft (a rally version of the Lublin R.Xa bis), completed a 14,390 km rally begun on 2 October, on the route Warsaw–Istanbul–Baghdad–Tehran–Kabul–Baghdad–Cairo–Jerusalem–Istanbul–Warsaw. The aircraft spent 108 hours and 50 minutes in the air.
