The Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its mobile application in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. This accessibility statement applies to the mobile application Audio Guide to the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow – which can be downloaded by scanning a QR code after purchasing an audio guide at the Museum ticket office.

The report should be processed without delay, no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to ensure accessibility or provide access in an alternative form within this deadline, it shall be done no later than within 2 months from the date of the report.
In the event that the public entity refuses to fulfil a request for ensuring accessibility or an alternative means of access to information, the person submitting the request may file a complaint regarding the provision of digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or an element of the website or mobile application. After exhausting the above procedure, a request may also be submitted to the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman).
From the “Muzeum Lotnictwa” tram stop, you can reach the building by wheelchair using a wide pathway. If you wish to arrive by car and have a disabled person’s identification card, you can reserve a parking space in advance. In that case, you can drive up to the main museum building and park close to the entrance. To reserve a space, call the accessibility coordinator at 789-059-943. The car park is not open to the general public. There are two parking spaces for disabled persons next to the museum. You may enter the museum premises with a guide dog.
Wheelchair users can enter the main building of the Polish Aviation Museum. The entrance is located on the ground floor, there are no stairs or thresholds, and the area is flat and paved. Glass doors and walls are not marked with contrast tape.
The Main Building has 2 floors. The building is equipped with a lift that has buttons with Braille alphabet and voice announcements. The top floor contains offices, and the second floor has a conference room that is adapted for persons with disabilities. Nearby there are toilets, including one with a baby changing table. A kitchen is also available for heating meals.
On the ground floor there is a ticket office, a shop and an exhibition. Wheelchairs, magnifying glasses and noise-cancelling headphones can be borrowed at the ticket office. Next to the ticket office there is a tactile map. On the ground floor there is also a toilet for persons with disabilities, which has an alarm for calling assistance. There is also a quiet room where sensory-sensitive visitors can rest. The Museum has wide, paved pathways, which facilitate movement for visitors. The institution is not equipped with audio navigation systems for visually impaired persons.
The space is free of architectural barriers and elevations. The entire area is located at ground level and can be visited using wide, paved pathways. The outdoor exhibition also features benches for resting.
The “Wings of the Great War”, “Cold War” and “Metamuseum” exhibitions are located at ground level and are accessible to wheelchair users, due to the absence of thresholds or the use of ramps.
For the “People and Wings of the 20th Century” hangar, wheelchair users are advised to use only the entrance doors for both entry and exit. The exit doors have a high threshold and no ramp. The hangar features a viewing mezzanine, which can be accessed using a vertical platform with buttons marked in Braille alphabet. The building surface is paved and flat.

The Audio Guide to the Polish Aviation Museum takes the form of a card with a QR code, which can be purchased at the museum ticket office or the museum shop. This card enables you to play a presentation of the exhibition on your own phone, featuring photographs, maps and interesting facts about the aircraft. No additional space needed, no app installation required – simply scan and enjoy. Can be used multiple times on a single device, even after leaving the Museum. Each card is available in Polish, English and Ukrainian versions.
