We are delighted to announce that the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków has expanded its educational programme to include a new, unique attraction – a professional paragliding flight simulator. The simulator allows visitors to safely experience the sensation of gliding through the air without having to leave the ground.
The paragliding simulator is a state-of-the-art piece of technology that allows you to safely explore the skies. The station is equipped with an authentic paragliding harness, VR goggles and a large-format screen, which provide a realistic flying experience.
Time to liftoff. Experience the emotions of real paragliding on a simulator
During the session, participants put on a harness and then choose one of two flight modes: flying using VR goggles or a projection on a large-format screen. The image responds to the manoeuvres performed, making it possible to experience sensations similar to those of a real flight and to learn the basics of paraglider control, such as changing direction or controlling the flight path. The realism of the experience is enhanced by fans positioned on either side of the station, which generate gusts of air.
The simulator is located in Hangar No. 5, next to the permanent exhibition ‘Downwind and Upwind – Civil Aviation’, which won the Sybilla 2025 award.
The paragliding flight simulator is not just entertainment, but above all a valuable educational tool that fits perfectly with the Museum’s educational mission. The device enables participants to gain practical insight into the physics of flight, aerodynamics and the principles of piloting in safe, controlled conditions.
This attraction is aimed particularly at organised groups, such as schools, cultural centres and youth clubs, as well as all aviation enthusiasts who wish to deepen their knowledge of aircraft control and supplement it with practical experience.
Before the session begins, participants are asked to familiarise themselves with the rules for using the simulator, which are available on the Museum’s website.
To take part in sessions using the simulator, you must arrange a date in advance with the Museum Outreach Department. Bookings are accepted by email at: rezerwacje@muzeumlotnictwa.pl.
