We are delighted to announce that, as of 1 April 2026, the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków is offering visitors the opportunity to step inside the PZL-105 ‘Flaming’ aircraft.
Thanks to specially designed, secure steps, visitors can now look into the cockpit of this intriguing machine, which is displayed daily in the main exhibition hall of the Primary Building.
The PZL-105 ‘Flaming’ was developed in the 1980s as a modern, multi-role aircraft intended to replace the venerable ‘Wilga’. Designed as a six-seat high-wing monoplane, it was envisioned for roles including passenger transport, glider towing, and special missions such as medical evacuation. Despite significant design ambitions, the aircraft never entered mass production, and the story of the Polish ‘Flaming’ concluded at the prototype stage.
The exhibit on display, bearing the registration marks SP-PRC, made its maiden flight in 1989 and logged over 2,000 hours in the air. Today, it stands as a unique example of Polish engineering and a testament to the unfulfilled development plans of the nation’s aviation industry.
We invite you to visit the Museum and take advantage of this exceptional opportunity to experience the ‘Flaming’ aircraft from an entirely new perspective.
