We’re getting ready for a summer adventure filled with aeroplanes, history and fascinating facts from the world of aviation. We have ahead of us a summer full of excitement, discoveries and unforgettable memories. Registration has just opened for our summer day camps, where children can spend their time in an active and inspiring way whilst exploring the fascinating world of aviation.

The Polish Aviation Museum invites children aged 8–12 to take part in its summer day camps under the banner ‘Squadrons – Academy of Young Pilots’. It is a safe, exciting and educational journey into the world of aviation. We provide professional supervision, a great atmosphere and memories that will stay with the participants for a long time to come.

This year, the programme is based on team competition: each group forms its own squadron – with its own flag and mission – and over the course of five days they will gain knowledge and skills, compete against one another, but above all – have a great time!

The day camps will take place over two sessions:

  • Session 1: 13–17 July 2026 (registration closes on 26 June 2026)
  • Session 2: 3–7 August 2026 (registration closes on 17 July 2026)

Classes take place every day from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm

What’s on the agenda for the “Squadrons – Academy for Young Pilots” programme?

Each session’s programme combines educational, creative and sporting activities – all set against the backdrop of aviation and friendly competition between the squadrons:

  • A meeting with a pilot – a discussion on how to fulfil your dream of flying
  • Workshops on building foam aeroplanes and squadron competitions using them
  • Art workshops – group creation of a flag for your own squadron and a model of the historic Rakowice-Czyżyny aerodrome
  • City tour – workshops at the Chocolate Museum and a visit to Pixel XL
  • “Young Pilot’s Test” – an obstacle course and a search for missing aircraft parts
  • Wheel of Fortune – an interactive aviation knowledge quiz show

We have also planned: outdoor games and activities, including aviation-themed field games and team-building activities.
