L/Cpl. pilot
Zygmunt Marian Bednarski (1915–1994) was a lance corporal pilot of the Polish Army and the Polish Air Force, a participant in World War II. He was born on 21 January 1915 in Janów in the Kielce voivodeship. Before the war he served in the 2nd Aviation Regiment. After the September Campaign of 1939 he made his way to Great Britain, where he was incorporated into the Polish Air Force within the Royal Air Force. Details of his assignment to a specific unit and the course of his combat service are not widely documented in available sources. After the end of World War II he remained in exile in Great Britain. He died on 19 March 1994 in Cleethorpes.
