Witalis Brama (1913–1943) was a second lieutenant observer of the Polish Army, a participant in the September Campaign of 1939 and a soldier of the Union of Armed Struggle–Home Army. He graduated from the Infantry Officer Cadet School in Ostrów Mazowiecka, after which he completed his mandatory practical training in an infantry unit. He then volunteered for the observers’ course at Aviation Training Centre No. 1 in Dęblin, upon completion of which he was transferred to the aviation officers’ corps and assigned to the 2nd Aviation Regiment in Kraków. In the September Campaign of 1939 he served in the 21st Bomber Squadron of the Bomber Brigade. On 7 September 1939 he participated in a combat flight over the area north of Łódź, carrying out a reconnaissance mission in a crew with Corporal pilot Mikołaj Zykow and Lance Corporal gunner Teofil Gara. In the Rawa Mazowiecka area their PZL.23 Karaś aircraft was shot down by a German fighter. The crew, however, managed to perform an emergency landing on improvised terrain and return to their unit, although Brama was wounded and sent for treatment to a hospital in Rawa Mazowiecka.

After his recovery, from 1940 he undertook clandestine activities in the structures of the Union of Armed Struggle–Home Army. In 1943 he was arrested by the Gestapo and executed by firing squad. He was buried at the Parish Cemetery in Dębe Wielkie on 103rd Rifle Battalion Street.
