Sgt. pilot
Stanisław Działowski (1900–1942) was a senior sergeant pilot of the Polish Army and the Polish Air Force in Great Britain, and subsequently a soldier of the Royal Air Force. He was born on 11 April 1900 in Mielec. From a young age he was interested in aviation, which led him to service in the military aviation of the Second Polish Republic, where he gained experience as a pilot. In the interwar period he served in various aviation units, including the 2nd Aviation Regiment. After the outbreak of World War II he made his way to Great Britain, where he continued his service in the Polish Air Force within the RAF. He served as a pilot in aviation units formed in exile, participating in training and operational activities of Allied aviation. Alongside his military service he engaged in amateur construction work in the field of aviation, making attempts to build and design light aircraft structures. He was killed on 19 March 1942 in Perth, Scotland. His death cut short both his military and technical activities.
