2nd Lt. pilot
Erwin Stanisław Kawnik (1913–1941). Second lieutenant pilot of the Polish Army, officer of No. 308 Fighter Squadron, last commander of the 123rd Fighter Squadron during the 1939 Polish Campaign. He served in the 2nd Aviation Regiment in Kraków. During the 1939 Polish Campaign he served as the last commander of the 123rd Fighter Squadron. During World War II he served in No. 308 “Kraków” Polish Fighter Squadron of the Polish Air Force. He died on 2 July 1941.
