Privacy Policy

All personal data collected by the websites and internet applications hosted on the servers of the Polish Aviation Museum based in Kraków may be gathered in two ways:

  • information voluntarily provided by users for the purpose of newsletter subscription, use of contact forms, completion of registration forms for event sign-ups, as well as for creating user accounts on websites and internet applications;
  • information obtained automatically when users browse our websites and internet applications, i.e.: information in server logs – our servers automatically record data such as the page request sent by the user, the date and time of the request, device data (e.g. hardware model), browser type, browser language, operating system type, IP address and so-called cookies;

IP address – every computer connected to the Internet is assigned a unique number, i.e. an IP address; based on it, one can, for example, identify the country from which a given user connects to the network; cookies – small text files sent by the website visited by the user to the user’s device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.).

Personal data collected by the websites and internet applications hosted on the servers of the Polish Aviation Museum based in Kraków are intended exclusively for the use of the Polish Aviation Museum based in Kraków (for administrative and statistical purposes) or serve to provide specific services to our recipients (users).

Personal data provided by the user on the websites or internet applications hosted on the servers of the Polish Aviation Museum based in Kraków will be processed solely for the purpose for which they are collected. Providing data is voluntary, but necessary to achieve the purpose for which it is collected. Failure to provide personal data means the inability to use the given tool, internet application or service.

The Polish Aviation Museum based in Kraków and its service providers use cookies and similar technologies, such as tags and pixels – hereinafter collectively referred to as “cookies” – in order to personalise and improve the quality of service when the Customer uses the website.

Cookies are small text files containing a unique identifier that are stored on a computer or mobile device, enabling the device to be recognised when using a specific website. They may be used only for the duration of a visit to the website or may be used to measure interactions with services and content over a certain period of time.

Cookies help to provide important functions and features of websites and mobile applications and to improve the quality of their use. By default, browser settings usually allow cookies to be saved. Browser settings can be used to accept or reject new cookies and delete existing ones, or to set the browser to notify of each new cookie being placed on the computer or other device.

If you do not consent to storing these files on your device, you should change your browser settings accordingly. The change may consist in not saving cookies on the device or in being informed each time a given file is saved on the device.

Detailed information on how to manage cookies is available in the settings and in the “Help” section of your web browser. Please note that restrictions on the use of cookies, including disabling some or all cookies, may make it difficult or impossible to use the website, e.g. it may prevent the use of services that require logging in. Browser settings that allow cookies to be saved mean that you consent to these files being saved on your device.

Cookies work differently in mobile applications because they are coded within the application itself and use a unique identifier created by the mobile device for advertising purposes. This advertising identifier can be disabled or reset using the mobile device’s privacy settings.

The MUSEUM may use cookies in its services for the following purposes:

  • files necessary for the operation of the website – these files enable the proper functioning of the website, logging in and navigation. Without saving them on the device, using the website is impossible;
  • files ensuring the security of actions performed within the website. Without these files, the secure operation and use of the website is impossible;
  • statistical files – they enable the website to collect statistical information on how the website is used, including the use of online advertising. This information allows, among other things, the MUSEUM to assess interest in the content published on the website and the effectiveness of online advertising campaigns, and to monitor which content and how many times it has been displayed. The cookies used also serve to measure the effectiveness of marketing messages, by informing whether a received marketing message was opened;
  • functional files – files that enable the personalisation of the user’s activity and allow them to use many useful functions that they offer, in particular to remember their settings and preferences. Thanks to saving these files on the device, it will not be necessary to enter the login and password each time, among other things. They also inform how the website is used, including informing the Data Controller about the occurrence of error messages while using it. Cookies of this type collect data that is mostly aggregated and anonymised;
  • advertising files – files enabling the receipt of personalised advertising: social media files – enabling integration of social networking services (including Facebook, Google+, Pinterest) used by the user with the website www.muzeumlotnictwa.pl.
