We will talk about an American heavy bomber from World War II. Work on it began in the late 1930s. Due to its flight range, it was also used as a maritime patrol aircraft and for anti-submarine warfare. It also served as a transport aircraft, including for the transport of important persons. It was used for airdrop operations over enemy-occupied territories. We will learn about the history, development, and construction of this interesting aircraft.
