to “Meeting by the Aircraft“
led by
Jan Hoffmann
The De Havilland Vampire was the second production jet aircraft of Great Britain and also the first British single-engine jet fighter. It entered service after the end of World War II. Its design was further developed after the war thanks to aerodynamic improvements and ever-improving turbojet engines. Several versions of this aircraft were produced for different purposes, sold to many countries where it ushered in the jet age. We will learn about its construction and the history of its creation and development.
