The American Douglas DC-3 played a significant role in the development of commercial aviation in the second half of the 1930s. Its military version, the C-47, also became the foundation for the development of modern transport and airborne aviation during World War II. It was also produced under license in Japan and the USSR. We will talk about the history of creation and development of this design, as well as its Soviet version (Li-2).
