The Polish Aviation Museum

to “Meeting by the Aircraft“

The Gloster Meteor was the first production jet aircraft of Great Britain and also the first jet used operationally (on a small scale) by the Allies at the end of World War II. Its design was further developed after the war thanks to ever-improving turbojet engines. Subsequent fighter versions were produced, including night fighters. A reconnaissance version also appeared, and it was also produced in a trainer version.
