We will talk about the Soviet MiG-15 fighter aircraft, a design from the late 1940s. It was one of the world’s first jets equipped with highly swept wings. It was a significant achievement in aviation technology at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s. It played an important role in the Korean War, being a formidable adversary for American and allied aircraft. The MiG-15 was also produced in Poland in the first half of the 1950s (Lim-1, Lim-2). We will learn about the history, development, and construction of this very interesting and successful aircraft.
