The P-51 Mustang belongs to the family of legendary World War II aircraft. Created with deliveries to Great Britain in mind, it was first flown in October 1940. The first production models flew on American engines, followed by ones powered by British Rolls-Royce engines. The aircraft’s design underwent several significant changes, greatly improving its operational characteristics. The aircraft had good handling qualities and a very durable construction. We will talk about the construction of this aircraft, as well as the history of its creation and development.
