The P-38 was developed in the late 1930s as a high-altitude interceptor fighter. After introducing a number of design changes, it entered service in mid-1941. It proved to be an excellent long-range fighter, fighter-bomber, and long-range reconnaissance aircraft. We will learn about the history of creation and development, as well as the construction of this interesting aircraft.
