We will talk about one of the extremely valuable exhibits of our Museum — the Sopwith Camel aircraft. This British fighter earned a permanent place in the history of World War I. Introduced to combat in mid-1917, it proved to be the most effective British fighter of that time. It was an extremely maneuverable aircraft, yet very difficult to fly. We will talk about the history and construction of this interesting aircraft.
