The Great War 1914-1918
Bristol Fighter
The Polish Aviation Museum
cordially invites you
May 5, 2024 (this Sunday)
to “Meeting by the Aircraft“
led by
Jan Hoffmann
We will talk about a British fighter aircraft created in 1916. The Fighter entered combat in the spring of 1917 and initially failed to meet expectations. The change came when its crews switched from defensive to offensive tactics. The aircraft then became an extremely formidable fighter. Bristol Fighters were also used in Poland during the Polish-Soviet War and played an important role in the Battle of Warsaw in 1920. We will talk about the history of creation, construction, and development of this aircraft.
